Academic skills development
Winter term 2026/27:
This is a mandatory course for Advanced Semiconductor Nanotechnologies. Participants acquire knowledge in current research topics by studying available literature and convert that knowledge into an introductory presentation for a scientific audience.
- Please register for the course using the LSF!
- Come to the first meeting for more details. This will be on Tuesday, 13th of October 2026 from 9 am to 11 am in G22A-120.
- There are two weekly meetings scheduled: Tuesday, 9am-11am in G22A-120 and Wednesday, 11am-1pm in G05-210. Depending on the number of participants, both are needed and attendance is compulsory. Please block your calendar accordingly.
Some articles as basic sources for the presentations can be found in 'Literature'.
Just to make sure that everyone understands the requirements for this course. You need (no exceptions, I will not negotiate!):
- Prepare your presentation and give your presentation at the assigned time.
- Attend the course - this means attend the presentations by your colleagues and actively participate by asking questions and discussing the content and give helpful feedback.
- Attend at least 7 group seminars or colloquia or similar lectures and collect signatures from the responsible lecturer. Hand the list back to me - latest to the end of January 2027.
To miss one of these three points results in failing this course.
